“James is a 26-year-old college graduate who will return to Leader Dog this May for his second guide dog. James was paired with his first Leader Dog, Scout, in 2004. This summer, he will graduate from the Notre Dame Law School and pursue a career in the halls of justice as a lawyer. Jim feels that having a Leader Dog made a fundamental difference in his college years and looks forward to using a Kapten Plus GPS unit to locate courthouses in New York, Detroit and Chicago.”

    Dear Creative Michigander,

The Detroit Creative Corridor Center (the “DC3”) is in need of your input! We ask that you take just 7 minutes to fill out a fun and short survey which touches on your experiences as a creative professional living and/or working in Southeast Michigan.  This will be the first in a series of surveys we will distribute over the next 2 years that we hope will enable us to craft our programs, partnerships and services to deliver maximum results for the creative community and creative economy in Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

Feel free to pass this along to colleagues and friends working within the creative industry (defined loosely as advertising, PR marketing, architecture, film, digital media, media, music, sound production, performing or visual arts, all design, or retail).

Because we are depending on multiple sources for distribution, we apologize if you have seen this email a few times. The survey will close  on Friday, July 9 at 5:00 PM.

ABOUT US AND THIS SURVEY: The DC3 is an entity supported by Business Leaders for Michigan (formerly Detroit Renaissance, which served as its founding champion) and the College for Creative Studies whose vision is to establish Detroit a global center of creative business, creative innovation and creative talent.  This survey was created by the DC3, in collaboration with students from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and is based on a series of in-depth interviews conducted in the spring of 2010. The answers provided will be completely anonymous and will be used in quantitative analysis only.

We thank you for your time and hope you continue to follow us on our journey to co-develop a world class infrastructure that realizes this shared vision.
